You are invited to participate in a joint Search and Rescue Exercise Training Simulation:
September 23-25, 2016
Pocahontas State Park
10301 State Park Rd.
Chesterfield, Va.23832

Sponsored by Piedmont Search and Rescue and Tidewater Search and Rescue In conjunction with Commonwealth of Virginia Search and Rescue

This training will consist of a realistic search scenario in Pocahontas State Park, while working in a joint effort with other state MOU SAR groups, Park service, Law Enforcement and local Fire and Rescue. The training objective is to create a preplan for actual searches in this location while building teamwork with other agencies from across the Commonwealth. The training will be conducted rain or shine, with both night and day operations, over multiple shifts and as usual there will be live subjects in play. This simulation has been planned to provide realistic learning opportunities for multiple resources, with the thinking: make mistakes here to be better prepared for the real thing.
Pocahontas State Park is the largest state park in Virginia, with almost 8000 acres of beautiful terrain to play in and just minutes from downtown Richmond.
